A Christmas Carol

Just finished watching A Christmas Carol at GSC at 1 Utama
just now.Find it pretty interesting though I have watched
it a few times years ago but never in 3D.

I watched it with Uncle Patrick, Auntie Betty, Joy, Joy's BF,
Timothy, Wei Wen, Jeremy, Wen Jun, Darren, Sean and
Michelle.

Spoilers ahead open at your own digression:

On Christmas Eve in Victorian England, Ebenezer Scrooge, a bitter and miserly old moneylender, holds everything that embodies the joys and spirit of Christmas in contempt, refusing to visit his cheerful nephew Fred's Christmas dinner party with his family, and forcing his underpaid employee Bob Cratchit to beg to take the day off for his own family. That night, Scrooge is visited by the ghost of his former business partner, Jacob Marley, who had died seven years prior on Christmas Eve and is now forced to spend his afterlife carrying heavy chains forged from his own greedy ways. Marley warns Scrooge that he will suffer an even worse fate if he doesn't repent, and foretells that he will be haunted by three spirits that will help guide him.

The first spirit, the Ghost of Christmas Past, shows Scrooge visions of his own past that take place on or around the Christmas season, reminding him of how he ended up the greedy man he is now. He had spent much of his childhood neglected by his father over the holidays at boarding school until he was finally brought home by his loving sister Fan, who died prematurely after giving birth to his nephew Fred. Scrooge later began a successful career in business and moneylending and became engaged to a woman named Belle, though she later called off the engagement when he began to grow obsessed with accumulating his own wealth. Unable to bear having to witness these events again, Scrooge extinguishes the spirit.

The second spirit, the Ghost of Christmas Present, shows Scrooge the happiness of his fellow men on Christmas day. Among them are his nephew Fred, who playfully makes jokes with his family at Scrooge's expense, and Bob Cratchit and his family, who are just barely able to make do with what little pay Scrooge gives Cratchit. The Cratchits also tend to a sickly young son, Tiny Tim, whose commitment to the spirit of Christmas touches Scrooge, who is dismayed to learn from the spirit that he may not have much longer to live. Before the spirit vanishes, it warns Scrooge about the evils of Ignorance and Want, showing them as terrifying, uncivilized children doomed to grow into savage, despicable individuals.

The third and final spirit, the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come, shows Scrooge the final consequences of his greed. Tiny Tim has died, leaving the Cratchits to mourn him on Christmas. Scrooge has also died, though there is more comfort than grief in the wake of his funeral. In addition, Fred finds benefit from inheriting his wealth, and Scrooge is even robbed by his former maid. Unwilling to let this grim future come to pass, Scrooge begs to be given a second chance as the spirit forces him into his deep and empty grave leading all the way to Hell.

Scrooge awakens to find himself in his bed on Christmas morning, the three spirits having guided him over the course of one night, and immediately sets out to atone for his sins, making donations to the poor, attending Fred's dinner party, and giving Cratchit a raise to care for his family, allowing Tiny Tim to live. Scrooge spends the remainder of his life a new man embodying the spirit of Christmas itself.

Well I don't know about you but I have to give this movie
a 7/10 cause after the first half the movie gets kinda boring
due to it missing a few thing that makes it a good movie.

I do suggest getting the book and read about it.

Friends....

I can't get any sleep as my dad will be going in for operation
later at 7.00am.Many thoughts have been filling my mind
after laying down and one of them involves YOU my friends.

Maybe it is a small burst of negative thoughts or something
I just can't get over it so I decided to pour it all here. You
know the term "Who needs friends when you have enemies?"
but the term "Who needs enemies when you have friends?"

I don't know but I feel uneasy when I came up with that
thus I thought about could it be me being the source of
everything I have came across?Could it be my mistakes
and fault when with you all?

I know I make mistakes, no make that a lot of mistakes.
Self doubt? Maybe.So I thought of some of them and
decided to make right.First things first:

1. I'm aware of the sudden burst of anger when I am mad about something like what happened during the last youth sports day for example.It was not right at all for my actions then, throwing stuff around and kicking things.I guess I need more patience to deal with such this problem.
   
2. I have to confess I have told many lies sometimes stacking them on top each other.I did not want to look like a loser in front of you all and made false tales to try to look good when I am with you all.
   
3. Hmmm.... I guess this goes to backstabbing some of you with rumor with the intent of making you look bad.I should have looked at my own mistakes.
4. Being bossy at times, like the time when I heard some of you say the F word after attending youth meeting.It was not my position to snap suddenly and say you should not do this or you should not do that.I'm making myself sound like old.I do what to so I should not have judged you as I am guilty for that too.
5. I might have irated some of you someway or an other.

There might be many other thing I might have done to you
people.I might not be aware of my actions, words or deeds I
ask this simple thing, Forgiveness.

I have might had sounded a little how do you say.... down.
I guess I am quite stressed about tomorrow.I should try to
get some sleep and leave it all to God.

Troubled Waters Ahead

Hey....

As promised here's an update post,well... I'm been busy
since my last proper posts.Christmas is coming round
the corner and I have been attending drama practice
and choir practice already.

For drama I'll be playing one of the three kings.It is a
different role I ha a few years back acting as Joesph.
And for choir it will be a bit different than usual we
(MIYF) will be singing from the Bethlehem's Treasure.

In Bethlehem's Treasure we would be singing in parts,
as a group and solo which I would be interested to take
a shot at if chosen.

The other thing tomorrow Chin Chung and Rufei (I
hope I spelled it correctly)would be having their
wedding matrimony so I have to sleep soon.

And as the year slowly ends in 2 months time my
exam would be getting nearer by the day I hope I
will be able to ace it this time around.

I have to say this out as it is something I can't take.
My dad has been diagnosed with the 2nd stage of
Melanoma cancer.It has been confirmed by a doctor
after having a medical check up last week.

I only got to know about it on Tuesday night from
my mom.I.... I don't know what to do when I heard
it.... wither I should cry or ignore it and hope that it
was a dream.

As of now my dad would be going for surgery soon
next month in UM if I am not mistaken.I do hope
God would heal my father and strengthen him in
this time of need also that my family would be
calm putting our trust that He would help my
dad.

I might be selfish by saying this, I would not mind
if I have to give up 5 years of my life so that my dad
would live to see me get married, and see his
grandchildren have their own family too.

Thinking of it made me lose sleep thus ending up
not sleeping at all after the first night for 2 days.
Insomnia? That fits the bill.So here's an end for
this post.

P/S: Please, pray for my dad and my family.
